If you’re coming from Nice itself rather than the airport, the direct train to Menton runs about 32–36 minutes, starting around €8 one-way, with roughly 46 trains a day — frequent enough that staying in Nice and day-tripping to Menton is also a realistic option.
Coming from Paris, the first step is getting to Nice — either by direct TGV train (several departures a day, roughly 5–6 hours) or by flying into Nice Côte d’Azur Airport (about 1.5 hours). Whichever you pick, if you land or arrive late in the evening, local train connections on to Menton can be limited by that hour — a taxi for the final leg is the more reliable option overnight.
